[USCC] Pelletizing equipment for compost

Tamara,

Your idea to palletize compost to reduce handling ( and cost) may sound
appealing at first reading. While it is not my intention to be a wet
blanket, my experience of compost is that it serves mainly as an amendment
to improve soil structure, not so much as a fertiliser. Any attempt to
palletize it may have limited value because usually large amounts of it are
needed, and it simply may not be cost effective – it is like trying to
palletize good top soil! I am curious to know what are the areas for
commercial application.
