Colleagues: can anyone help this fellow, please? (this came to me courtesy
of Jim Smith at USEPA):

I have been advised to contact you by Rick Stevens in relation to the
following enquiry. My company, wca environment, has been commissioned by
WRAP in the UK to investigate possible alternative methods to the plant
growth/weed propagule tests currently used in the UK PAS100 specification
for compost. We are investigating possible sources of information around the
world, such as the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa as
well as in mainland Europe. I believe you are an expert in this field. Is
there anything you can help me with in this regard? I believe that the TMECC
is the standard for this type of analysis in the US? Is this the case? Are
there any alternative methods you would recommend we investigate?

I hope you will be able to help me. Many thanks for your time.

Best wishes

Tony Chapman
