The paper will work great to supply some carbon and absorb water but I would
include a bulking agent, preferably ground wood, to provide needed air space
and allow the pile to breath. There also seems to be a difference in raw
carbon ( leafs, straw, sawdust, ground wood, etc) VS processed carbon
(paper, cardboard, etc).
