 Ron,
The Department of Energy has done a fair amount of research on this. Check out: http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/1605/archive/87-92rpt/chap4.html

Subject: [USCC] Greenhouse Gases

Hello Compost World,

I was wondering if anyone out there was familiar with any research which
has studied ammonia-based fertilizer usage and its potential for creating
nitrous oxide (a powerful greenhouse gas)? Any direction would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron
