Hello Compost World,
I am about to ask a sensitive question, so please respond directly to me. I
was contacted by a State regulator who has an issue with a composter. They
have found PAH's (actually TEH's) in a compost (and some feedstocks) from a
industrial food waste composter. The composter claims that no auto related
PAH's can be getting into their product (or feedstocks), and claim that it
is the food grade oils causing lab interferences.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem? Is anyone out there required to
test for PAH's?
Thanks,
Ron?
