Greetings Michele et al,
This is not a response to your question, but IS related to teaching teachers
about vermicomposting. If any of your teachers are working with middle
school students, you might be interested in this. I had the opportunity to
hire a local professor to develop a collection of lessons on vermicomposting
specifically for grades 6-9, a niche that was particularly vacant. The
lessons are available free at this website:

Please spread the word!
Thanks,
Cary

Greetings to all,

In teaching a class for teachers recently, I had a question about
vermicompost bins in areas where there are already roach and mice problems.
Do any of you have good experiences to share from school, or small scale
composting operations that already had infestation problems?

Thanks for any great ideas you can share.

Cheers Michele Young
