Kátia,

In the UK animal wastes are put into 3 categories. Category 1 material, which poses the highest risk and includes brain/spine tissue where BSE is found, cannot be composted. Category 2 material can be composted but only after rendering. Category 3 material, which poses the lowest risk, can be composted. This manages the risk of BSE.

I would like to know if, there are restrictions for the use of compost, made from wastes generated in a slaughterhouse as, for example, the content of cattle stomaches (grass), seeking the prevention of diseases, as the BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy).
