Some time ago (in 2007) someone was compiling a list of training

options/classes for compost operators on the list serve. Who has that

list at this time?

Has glycerine been considered for animal feed? I know the organic

dairy

industry uses it for the treatment of Ketosis ( metabolic disorder of

high producing cows) . It works well and the cattle like to eat it .

It works for animal feed if there is less than .05% methanol, otherwise,

I

believe it is poisonous to animals; so I have been told.

There are other end uses if it does not smell like grease or bacon, but

still has some methanol and fatty acid on a limited basis that I have

been

supplying. Those end uses are volume limited, however.

Glycerin is an acceptable feedstock for alternative fuel or fuel

processes

(eg anaerobic digestion)
