If you go to this link and look on the left hand side in the second group you can find lots of information
http://www.bls.gov/
Most states and local economic development associations also have the information or links
We keep in close touch with the construction industry and follow their pay scales
Som constructions companies with federal money jobs have to pay Davis Bacon wages which are inflated
In california we pay $15-20 hour for a loader operator with many of the skill you mention
Enty level is $12 but hard to find

Hello
The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District is seeking information on
pay scales for compost site/equipment operators from yard waste, MSW,
biosolids or special compost facilities. A new description is being
formulated and the last major piece missing is the salary range. Can
anyone send me the hourly rate (in a range from low to high) that they
pay a compost site/equipment operator with the following skill set:
the compost facility operator is responsible for the daily
operation and maintenance activities associated with the production
of high quality compost products, including receiving and processing
waste into compost product(s) which meet all established quality
standards. The work involves operation and preventive maintenance of
heavy equipment such as roll off trucks, loaders, farm tractors,
mixers, screening equipment and other related equipment. The work
involves monitoring, recordkeeping, data entry, customer service,
cleaning duties and related work as assigned.
Any information is appreciated. Please respond directly to my email
address.
Thank you for your time.
