[USCC] Spread of plant pathogens from grinding?

Dear USCC Community:

Is anyone out there aware of any research that has been done looking  
at the potential spread of plant pathogens from grinding? Are plant  
pathogens potentially spread at a compost facility via grinding the  
material prior to composting?

I assume, somewhat regardless of the answer, the main Best Management  
Practice would be to reduce dust transport at grinding via water spray?

Any references appreciated.
