City of DesMoines Iowa USA has been composting on an asphalt pad since 1988. It shows normal deterioration due to heavy equipment , freezing / thawing but I don't think the bugs are attacking it. I know they have done maintenance.
Maybe Metro Waste Authority, who are currently operating there will also answer.,

Hi all !
According to what was previously been explained, I work with the system of
Static Piles with Forced Aeration, in Brasil, and have the following doubt:
"The Composting Pad, made of asphalt, has a much shorter lifetime than the one
made of concrete. This is due to the intense microbial activity of the process
on a material produced correct."
I need to know whether this statement is correct, once we know that Composting
is a technique widely used for bioremediation of areas with hydrocarbons.
I´d like to thank my colleagues help.
