The Lexington-Fayette County in Kentucky has permitted a number of lime
stabilized pads for on-farm composting. You can contact Dawn Angarone at
dangaron at lfucg.com for comments on the effect of wheel traffic on the
established pads. We hope to set up some demonstrations here in Maine on
the use of lime stabilization for composting and manure storage.
