[USCC] exotic sawdust

I know saw dust can be composted if done correctly.  I was wondering if it is ok to use saw dust from woods that come from different parts of the world.  Like Mexico, central and South America, Africa.  The heat should kill any pathogens if I can keep it hot enough.  During this time of year 135 is the norm.  But I don't want to introduce something that should not be there.  What do you experts think?
