[USCC] Compost Operator Training Programs

Craig,

KDHE and Kansas State University have teamed up to present the Kansas
Composting Operators' School, a two day compost facility operator school
for the last 4 years.  At this school we focus on training our operators in
everything from pad design to on-site testing.  We run the school in June
most years and again in September if there is enough interest.  Last year
the only one we had was in September due to Bill Eberle having surgery in
May.  We are again having the school on June 13 and 14 this year on the
K-State campus.  I will be posting more information on the USCC web site
soon.

We also offer composting operator training at our Works! Conference in
March.  This is a one day training that provides training for both
beginners and advanced compost facility operators.

For our livestock facilities we offer a one day training in February.  This
training is focused on manure and dead animal composting.
