Dear Ron,

There is a small facility outside of Toronto using the BTA technology. It had odor problems as well as dust and bioaerosols so i do not know if it is still functioning. There was also a small facilityin in Hawaii which closed down due to odors. I worked at both of these facilities. To my knowledge there are no foofd waste anaerobic digesters in the U.S. There weere two comprehensive reports done on this subject, one in Sacramento and the other in Cedar Rapids. Nothing came from those. In Europe as of last year there were 19 facilities mostly handling under 50,000 tons per year.
