Jim and others:
This story while tragic shows the protectiveness of the Part 503 Standards
for the Use or Disposal of Biosolids as well as modern composting
techniques. If the neighboring farm that contained the animal manure had
composted the material first using Part 503 Standard conditions, this
tragedy could have been avoided.
A great boost for composting as a significant protection of our food supply.
