Subject:Ag News from EPA's Ag Center! Learning Center Webcast on
Pathogens in Manure

You are invited to attend this month's Livestock and Poultry
Environmental Learning Center web cast seminar, Friday, November 17 at
2:30 pm (eastern), 1:30 pm (central), 12:30 pm (mountain), 11:30 am
(pacific) at http://lpe.unl.edu . It is the first of a two-part series
on "Pathogens in Animal Manure--Should We Be Concerned?" This month each
speaker's power point will be made available in advance; you can see
various supporting Pathogen Resources at
http://lpe.unl.edu/pathogen.html

The Livestock and Poultry Environmental (LPE) Learning Center is a
project dedicated to the vision that individuals involved in public
policy issues, animal production, and delivery of technical services for
confined animal systems should have on-demand access to the nation's
best science-based resources. The team envisions that this center will
be responsive to priority and emerging environmental issues associated
with animal agriculture. The LPE Learning Center host Webcasts on the
third Friday of every month at 2:30 pm (eastern), 1:30 pm (central),
12:30 pm (mountain), 11:30 am (pacific). Webcasts can be viewed live (at
their scheduled time) by visiting http://lpe.unl.edu

The Learning Center continues to experience some variation in the
quality of the broadcast delivered through the web. Due to local network
traffic, not all end users have been able to view a quality product. If
you attend on Friday, your feedback on the quality of the broadcast you
receive will be requested in a brief evaluation. It is important that we
continue to hear about the quality of the web cast that you receive.

More than 750 people currently receive the monthly Learning Center
newsletter. About one hundred unique connections were made to last
month's web cast on the EPA CAFO Regulation Changes. These individuals
advise more than 13,000 livestock and poultry producers in a year's
time.
