[USCC] Compost Use in Golf Greens Construction

Frank,
Alot of data exists on compost use in golf greens. My old company built
courses back in the late 80's. When the prpoer sand is used, 10-15% of
compost by volume can usually produce a media that meets USGA specs. Also,
USGA specs do not specify the type of organic matter in the sand mix; it
specifies the physical and chemical properties of the mix. You simply have
to produce a mix that meets these spec. Proper sand is the key.
