In my last composting facilty; business insurance (general and product
liability) was carried by an insurance subsidiary of my bank; Workmen's Comp
was a standard State policy where my people were classified in "Fertilizer
Manufacturing", "Clerical" and "Truck Drivers"... that might not be the best
classification(s), but I was unable to convince them differently.

In my experience, insurance companies have no knowledge of, nor desire to
learn anything about, who the microbial workers are!

What insurance companies are covering composting facilities, and, what is 
your experience dealing with them?  What are they basing the premium on... 
the microbial master composters work for us for nothing but "room & board". 
If the premium is based on payroll, are they counting delivery drivers and 
sales people?
