List,
In June of 2004 our compost facility received coagulated blood for composting. We made a bed of wood shavings approximately 12" thick, placed the blood on the wood shavings then covered the blood with about 8" of wood shavings. We let it set for 30 days before turning, then turned about every 2 weeks, taking about 15 weeks to finish composting. There was never an odor problem. If any of the list serve would like more information, I can be reached at landfill2 at swko.net.
