Our featured speaker is Dr. Harry Hoitink, Professor Emeritus at Ohio State 
University, a nationally recognized expert in the field of plant pathology 
and disease suppression. Dr. Hoitink will provide two keynote presentations: 
one on compost process variables and their effect on beneficial microbial 
activity and product quality, and another on producing composts that provide 
consistent broad-spectrum plant disease suppressive properties. Additional 
presentations by Rita Hummel and Andy Bary from WSU on their Compost in the 
Landscape Project and a presentation on innovative compost tea practices by 
Dr. Steve Scheuerell of The Evergreen State College, Sustainable Agriculture 
Program.

This event is an exceptional learning opportunity for composters, 
horticulturalists, orchardists, organic farmers or anyone utilizing organics 
in sustainable agricultural programs. Excellent opportunity for exhibitors!
