Frank,
We had the question of straw board and its compostability a few years ago.
The glue turned out to be a urea/formaldehyde mixture. The company that
produced the glue had done some composting studies on their product and
found that the formaldehyde broke down in the composting process and the
urea added nitrogen to the process. I was looking for the paperwork on
that research a couple months ago and it is now lost. You might get a MSDS
on the glue and contact the manufacturer.

I have a compost producer who would like to find out about toxicities in
composts and/or the affect of chemicals in glues from plywood during and
after composting. If only a small amount of untreated plywood was
composted, are the glues expected to be biodegradable or toxic to
microorganisms, and would the end product be safe? I appreciate the
assistance.
