Craig,
Contact the following company for possible information on your topic. They
are cleaning up old oil drilling sites and mixing Urea with contaminated
soil. They are using one (1) SCARAB turner with tracks and one (1) with
rubber tires to turn the contaminated soil. The fellow to speak to is:
Peter Frigon

Feel free to mention my name, hopefully he won't hang up on you !!

Colleagues:

I am working on a magazine article for Biocycle on the use of composting for
remediation of contaminated sites. My literature search has yielded some
good results (particularly the work of Drs. Chaney & Brown on the use of
biosolids for metals remediation, and work in the '90s at Umatilla Army
Depot and Dubose Oil Products), but what I am seeing more of now in the
remediation literature is bioaugmentation, or just adding nutrients and
microbes to excavated soil, rather than mixing soils with high-energy
compostable feedstocks for degradation of organic chemicals.

Can anyone refer me to a more current project they might know about that
would make a good case study for the article?

As usual, many thanks for the advice!

Regards,

Craig
