A caller interested in worm composting asked about using shredded white
office paper for worm bin bedding and cover material. Of course it will get
moist in the worm bin, and eventually the worms will eat it. She was
concerned about the toxicity of toner. Does anyone have information on the
potential toxicity of:
* office paper with black toner printing.
* office paper with color toner printing.
* toxicity to worms.
* plant uptake of toner ink when the compost is used in the garden.
Thanks, Karin
