[USCC] CAPTURING HEAT ENERGY

I represent a small add hoc group in South West Ireland interested in capturing energy emanating from the composting process. My colleague, Dr. Henry Lyons, recently retired head of Science of  Institute of Technolgy, Tralee has had an interest in composting for over 30 years. He is currently involved on a consultancy basis in developing a compost derived from fish waste with pesticidal properties. I was wondering if you could let me know if any research has or is been done in capturing heat energy from composting ? I am aware of some work done in France wherby water pipes were installed in compost heaps. I manage a foliage company that generates quite a lot of organic plant waste www.foliageireland.com
Should our current desk research prove positive, we will seek funding from the government to work on a pilot project, and perhaps we could share the findings.
